Sattvahut Black Salt (Kala Namak)

Earthy. Umami-rich. Rejuvenating.

📦 About the Product

Sourced from Himalayan rock salt deposits and traditionally kiln-fired with natural botanicals, Sattvahut Black Salt—also known as Kala Namak—boasts deep pinkish-brown crystals infused with sulfurous, savory depth. It's prized in South Asian cuisine for its distinctive "eggy" aroma and subtle umami flavor

🌱 Health Benefits

  • Enhanced Digestion & Gut Comfort:
Widely used in Ayurveda, black salt stimulates bile juice production, easing indigestion, bloating, gas, and heartburn

  • Mineral-Rich & Electrolyte Support:
Contains trace minerals like potassium, iron, magnesium, and calcium. While mineral bioavailability is low, black salt offers more natural variety than refined table salt .

  • Detoxification & pH Balance:
Its sulfates and natural compounds support body detox, balance acidity, reduce flatulence, and may promote mild diuretic effects .

  • Skin & Respiratory Relief:
Used in scrubs and baths for exfoliation, pore purification, and soothing skin. Inhalation or gargle helps ease sinus congestion and sore throat

  • Blood Pressure & Muscle Comfort:
Slightly lower in sodium and containing potassium, it may help regulate blood pressure. Muscle cramp relief is also associated with its electrolyte content .

  • Vegan Umami & Culinary Versatility:
Its sulfurous flavor replicates savory notes, especially useful in vegan dishes, chutneys, raitas, fruit salads, and classic Indian spice blends.
